UCAS Extra and Clearing
If you have applied to universities through UCAS but haven’t been offered a place, or if you have declined all offers you have received, you can re-apply using the UCAS Extra service. Extra is open to students between February and June of each year to help them find a place on a course of their choice.
Clearing is a service open from July to September, although most students use it after receiving their exam results in August. Clearing can be used to help students without a university or college place to find vacancies on higher education courses.
