What gets you out of bed in the morning?
The variety of work that I do and the people that I work with.
Briefly, what does your typical day involve?
Each day I check if we have had any problems with production the night before and solve those, otherwise I design and oversee the installation of improvements to the production and any safety or quality projects as well as working with the operators to see how we can improve the process or make it safer.
What is the most interesting thing you have done today?
Worked with the operators to improve our production.
What is the most unusual thing you have done as part of your job?
I was nominated for a miracle makeover for the GMTV Lorraine Kelly show by my colleagues!
What is the most unlikely place your job has taken you?
Azerbaijan, as the UK Chemical Industry Young Ambassador.
What has been the most rewarding moment in your career?
Being awarded the Young Ambassador award for the UK Chemical Industry.
What is the one personal ambition you still want to achieve?
I want to run and develop a business.
When you are not at work what is your greatest pleasure?
Travelling.
What would the casual observer not guess about you?
I am from New Zealand.
What is your favourite holiday destination?
Egypt – fantastic sights, friendly people and beautiful weather.
