What is your main role?

Leading a team of engineers who look after the Oil & Gas platforms in Bass Strait located in SE Australia.

What part of your job gets you out of bed in the morning?

My job is so varied that I never do the same thing twice!

Briefly, what does your typical day involve?

Reviewing technical proposals for upgrades on oil & gas platforms and mentoring graduate engineers.

What is the most interesting thing you have done today?

Find a fantastic new role for one of my engineers in a project team that is building a new platform.

What is the most unusual thing you have done as part of your job?

Helicopter Underwater Escape Training.

What is the most unlikely place your job has taken you?

Rural Thailand where I ate star fruit, grown on the site of a small gas plant that I was visiting, and "Thousand Year Old" eggs to keep up with the locals.

What has been the most rewarding moment in your career?

Teaching a training course on 3 continents for a new computer tool that I helped design for use within my company.

What is the one personal ambition you still want to achieve?

To travel to every continent AND have the photos in albums.

When you are not at work what is your greatest pleasure?

Spending time with my husband and eating great food.

What is your favourite holiday destination?

Somewhere warm, preferably with a surf beach!
